Blueberry French Toast for breakfast this morning . I was trying to figure out what I can make with some left over blueberry in the refrigerator. I always wanted to try to create my own version of blueberry compote, so today is the day .
Let’s get started
For this recipe I only used half pack of blueberry, if you are using a full pack adjust ingredients.
In a saute pot I added in my blueberry with granulated sugar with a few teaspoons of water bringing this to a boil.
I started off with less water as this was my first time making compote.
As I saw the blueberry thickening I added in one cup water with cornstarch bringing to a boil.
Once I saw the sauce is thick I added in cinnamon powder and a few drops of vanilla extract then turn off heat continuing to thicken on it’s own.
This recipe took about 8-10 minutes.
